Does a will get recorded or filed?

In Florida, a will does not get filed or recorded until the person passes away.

Shaw: Does will have to be recorded?

Attorney Tom Olsen: While you're alive the answer is no. Wills do not get filed or recorded until after somebody passes away.

Shaw: Okay, you have answered my question and I thank you for taking this morning.

Attorney Tom Olsen: All right, Shaw. Give me a call we love to help you out with getting your will done. Shaw, by the way simply having your will has nothing to do with avoiding the probate. A will simply directs what happens your assets when we go through probate.
