Attorney Tom Olsen: Christie, I've been a lawyer for over 40 years here in Orlando, and I've come to learn that there are some patterns that go with the time of year. For example, during December in the Christmas season, things slow down. Then at the beginning of the year, man, things speed up. People get a New Year's resolution that this year is the year that I'm going to get my estate planning done. I'm going to get my affairs in order, be it a will or be it a trust. That keeps us very busy in the month of January, but we are pleased to assist people with that process so they can check it off, their list of things to do.

Attorney Christie Merrill: Yes and you are correct that many people do make a New Year's resolution, and this year we're seeing is no different where you're right, they want to get their legal documents done for their family and peace of mind for them that they've made things simple.

Tom: I wonder if we took a poll out there and the poll question was this, are you more afraid to go see your doctor, or are you more afraid to go see a lawyer? I wonder what the results of that poll would be.

Christie: Oh, well, I think that's a great question. That would be a great poll.

Tom: Hey, we should do that on our YouTube channel poll.

Christie: I agree.

Tom: Remind me.

Christie: We will do that.

Tom: What I want to tell you out there as you're listening is that as far as getting your estate planning in order, we know how to make things very simple and easy for you. It is going to be painless, practically painless. We know that because majority of our clients, when we're done, they'll look at us and go, "Wow, that was easy. That was simple." Then they'll follow that by saying, "Oh, we're so glad we finally got this done."

Christie: Absolutely. They are thankful. We make it simple for them. We believe that if we are doing our job, we're making it simple for our clients. The process from beginning to end is simple for you. That's why we do encourage, hey, at least you can talk to us for 15 minutes, and then you can make that determination on your own but I think you would be pleasantly surprised that we make it very simple for you so that you do have a peace of mind. You can get it off your to-do list and make things simple and easy for your family.

Tom: A lot of times you call a law firm and they're just not going to let you talk to anybody and tell you, I don't know, make an appointment or other thing, but--

Christie: Or have filled out a 50-page questionnaire.

Tom: Yes. Or they'll send you that 50-page questionnaire and say, “Fill it out and then give us a call back.” No.

Christie: Exactly.

Tom: That's not the way we do things here at the Olsen Law Group.

Christie: It is not.
